Das Weibchen erwacht kurz vor fünf Uhr und reckt und streckt sich - dem Nachwuchs ist das zunächst reichlich egal - er schläft noch. Nach einem kurzen Ausflug nach draußen ist erst einmal Saubermachen angesagt.

Beim abendlichen Schnabel-Zählappell kann nur mit Mühe ein Bild mit allen acht Schnäbeln entdecken…
Die Jungtiere zeigen nun schon deutliche Ansätze ihres Federkleids.
